PERMISSIBLE PROPERTY USES

Certain property information, such as the tax map key, zoning district and height limit, and applicable special district(s), can be found using the Honolulu Land Information System digital map and its Layer List. Allowable uses by zoning district are listed in the Master Use Table of the Land Use Ordinance. Note that these online versions reflect, but are not considered, the official code and zoning map.

TOD SPECIAL DISTRICT

The TOD Special District regulations are in addition to the underlying zoning district and, if applicable, other special district regulations, and may supplement and modify the underlying regulations (this can allow for additional density and/or height in exchange for community benefits). If any regulation pertaining to the TOD Special District conflicts with the underlying zoning district or another special district, the regulation applicable to the TOD Special District will take precedence.

TOD SPECIAL DISTRICT PERMITTING

The master application and instructions for TOD permits are listed below. See Table 21-9.8 for applicability. The TOD permits and instructions are intended to be used in conjunction with the Land Use Ordinance and other pertinent chapters of the Revised Ordinances of Honolulu (note that these online versions reflect, but are not considered, the official code), as well as the DPP Administrative Rules.
