Proposal to Establish a Community Planning Committee – Board discussion and feedback on a proposal to establish a Waialae-Kahala Neighborhood Board Community Planning Committee, intended to support long-term neighborhood visioning and development review efforts. Submitted by McGuffie for board consideration.

B. Presentations / New Business
1. Wildfire Preparedness Workshop for Diamond Head Area – Brief presentation by Hawaiʻi Wildfire Management Organization (HWMO) on an upcoming community workshop to reduce wildfire risk, supported by HFD and DLNR-DOFAW.
2. Informational Update: Summer Streets Pilot Program – Notice that the Hawaiʻi House of Representatives has passed a resolution encouraging the City and County of Honolulu to implement a Summer Streets pilot program, promoting temporary street access for pedestrians, cyclists, and non-motorized users to support sustainability, local businesses, and community health.

Department of Transportation (HDOT) – [0:10:23]: Casey Abe provided his report and highlighted the following: graffiti clean-up; new gate lock on Waialae Nui Stream Bridge; replaced manhole cover at the intersection of Hunakai Street; repaired pedestrian sidewalk at 19th Avenue pedestrian overpass; overgrowth near the Kapakahi Stream Bridge; and maintenance work near the on-ramp.
