 back in service. The Board of Water Supply is kicking off their 2025 poste
 r and poetry contest. The poster contest is open to Oahu students in grade
 s K-6 and the poetry portion is open for Oahu students in grades 7-12. The

 0:30]: Member Ige shared highlights on the report from the permitted inter
 action group. The next community meeting is scheduled for Wednesday\, Octo
 ber 17\, 2024 at Pālolo Homes Ohana Learning Center at 6:30 p.m. There ar
 e two upcoming events for the public. On Saturday\, October 19\, 2024 volu
 nteers will participate in Sustainable Ghostlines at Ali'iolani Elementary
  School from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to build awareness about trees. The pu
 blic is invited and no sign-up is necessary. The second event is on Saturd
 ay\, October 26\, 2024 and is a clean-up event at “The Plantation” foo
 d forest site adjacent to Pālolo Homes. There will also be a City tree ad
 option event called "Trick or Tree" on Saturday\, October 26\, 2024 from 1
 0:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Pālolo Valley District Park. A proposed joint 
 letter with the Diamond Head Neighborhood Board and Kaimuki Neighborhood B
 oard has been drafted to be sent to the owner/operator of Kaimuki Shopping
  Center. The Board will take this letter under consideration at the next B
 oard meeting. A proposed draft Resolution has been created to send to the 
 City requesting Pālolo to have a community garden site. The Board will ta
 ke this draft Resolution under consideration at the next Board meeting. Vi
 ce Chair Mau shared the draft letter for Kaimuki Shopping Center is for be
 autification of the property and to provide shade. Vice chair Mau shared t

 ond consecutive time\, the State of Hawaiʻi has been ranked among top Sta
 tes for IT practices. Governor Green issued a proclamation declaring Octob
 er “Infant Safe Sleep” month to increase the public’s awareness of t
 he high rates of preventable infant deaths. The Governor proclaimed Octobe
 r as Cybersecurity Awareness Month in Hawaiʻi. The State Department of He
 alth received $1.4 million in federal grant money to help reduce maternal
