  New Name: The development has been named Kūmelewai Hale. Kūmelewai was 
 the birthplace of John (Ioane) Kaneiakama PapaʻĪʻī an educator\, publi
 c servant\, and later superintendent of Oʻahu’s schools. The name means
  “like singing water\,” symbolizing balance\, life\, and abundance.\n
 • Environmental Assessment (EA): The final EA will be posted on the publ
 ic website on Saturday\, May 23\, 2026. The next step after posting will b
 e the 201H exemption process through the City Council.\n\nQuestions\, comm
