HONOLULU — The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Environmental Services (ENV) advises residents that the Waipahu Convenience Center may experience temporary delays on Thursday, April 2, due to utility work in the area.
Hawaiian Electric Company crews will be replacing several utility poles along Waipahu Depot Street between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. This work will require intermittent road closures, which may result in traffic delays of approximately 15 to 30 minutes.
Traffic control will be in place, but motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution when driving in the area.
The Waipahu Convenience Center will remain open and continue normal operations during this time.
ENV appreciates the public’s patience and understanding as this necessary work is completed to improve infrastructure reliability and safety.
