HONOLULU — The City and County of Honolulu announced Thursday that the consolidated operations of the Waialua Community Assistance Center (CAC) and the Community-led Distribution Hub will open on Friday, April 3, establishing a single, centralized operation at Waialua District Park.
The CAC will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. inside the park’s gymnasium, while supply distribution will be available in the paved parking lot along Goodale Avenue during designated daytime (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and evening (4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.) hours. The adjusted schedule helped ease congestion in the area, particularly near Waialua Elementary School, while maintaining convenient access to services and parking.

By bringing operations together, the City enhanced coordination among departments and community partners, making it easier for residents to access support in one location. The site provided essential supplies alongside in-person assistance, including City services, recovery resources, and support from nonprofit organizations.
Operations for both facilities will pause on Easter Sunday in observance of the holiday before resuming on Monday for normal operating hours.
The City continues to evaluate opportunities to expand community resource outreach at additional locations.
