Traffic advisory: pavement repairs on Middle and N. School streets

Road repair work will be conducted in the highlighted areas on the map above.

HONOLULU – The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Facility Maintenance (DFM) will partially close lanes on Middle Street between Kaua Street and Notley Street, and on North School Street between Notley Street and Hauiki Road to perform necessary pavement repairs beginning Monday, May 12, 2025.

Weather and conditions permitting, the construction work will be conducted from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding all observed State holidays. Construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of July 2025.

Motorists and pedestrians are asked to please use alternate routes, if possible. If unable to avoid the area, allow for extra travel time and abide by posted traffic signs. Special duty Honolulu Police Department officers may be on-site to assist with traffic control.

Access to driveways fronting the affected properties may be restricted while work is being performed and emergency access will be accommodated as needed.

DFM’s consultant, BOW Construction Management Service, Inc., will manage and coordinate the project including local traffic, access to residences, deliveries, trash collection, and emergency services. For any questions or concerns about the project, please call BOW Construction Management Service, Inc. at (808) 679-7167.
