The 2024 PRIDE Parade was a blast! This annual event is packed with fun, joy, and exuberance! But of course, the people are what make the parade special. Every single participant and every single spectator contributed to a truly memorable and colorful evening in Waikīkī.
We were proud to walk with the City’s new Rainbow Employee Resource Group and we were incredibly happy that so many of our City and County of Honolulu teammates joined us. The Royal Hawaiian Band also participated, creating a festive atmosphere with their wonderful music.
Another highlight was the limited-edition rainbow Holo cards that the City’s Department of Transportation Services distributed at our City booth at PRIDE Festival, which was held at the Tom Moffat Waikīkī Shell. Once preloaded with money, these Holo cards can be used by anyone to catch a ride on the TheBus and Skyline. They also serve as a reminder of the City and County of Honolulu’s commitment to inclusion and aloha for all of our residents and visitors, regardless of who they love!
Congratulations to the organizers of the PRIDE Parade and Festival for a remarkably successful event and we are already looking forward to next year!
