Refuse Curbside Collection Suspended for neighborhoods from Kailua to Lāʻie

HONOLULU – The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Environmental Services (ENV) is suspending regular curbside refuse collection for neighborhoods from Kailua to Lāʻie today due to severe weather conditions impacting Oʻahu. Please see the attached map for the geographic area of impact.

Gray refuse cart collection will be made up and residents in the affected areas are advised to leave gray refuse carts curbside until collection is made up. Blue recyclable and green compost cart collection will not be made up and affected residents should bring their carts in and place them out for collection on the next scheduled day.

The Refuse Division will resume collection services as soon as it is safe for crews to operate. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to stay informed by signing up for HNL Alert, the City’s official emergency notification system.
