Free Mobile Clinic relocates to Waialua District Park

Medical professionals provide free services to residents impacted by Kona Low storms

HONOLULU — Beginning tomorrow, the free mobile outreach medical clinic operated by the City and County of Honolulu, in partnership with the University of Hawai‘i’s John A. Burns School of Medicine and its Hawai‘i H.O.M.E. (Homeless Outreach & Medical Education) Project, will relocate to Waialua District Park.

The clinic, which launched last week to support North Shore residents impacted by catastrophic flooding, will continue providing free medical assessments and treatment Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) from Honolulu Emergency Medical Services (EMS), along with a nurse from the Crisis Outreach Response and Engagement (CORE) program, will continue to work alongside doctors and medical students from the H.O.M.E. Project to deliver on-site care.

Since opening, the clinic has treated nearly 100 individuals for illnesses and injuries related to the recent Kona low storms.
