HONOLULU – The City and County of Honolulu’s Office of Economic Revitalization (OER), in partnership with the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA), will host a free Housing Stability Services Resource Fair on Friday, August 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at KEY Project (47-200 Waiheʻe Road, Kāneʻohe, HI 96744).
The fair will connect Windward Oʻahu families with essential services, back-to-school supplies, and community programs to provide relief from housing and living expenses.
The event is designed to connect families, renters, and kūpuna with vital services that support financial stability, housing security, and overall well-being. Families can also take home free backpacks filled with school supplies (available while supplies last), enjoy ʻono food, and connect with organizations offering programs tailored to keiki and ʻohana.
Some of the community partners participating in the fair include Hawaiʻi Meals on Wheels, the Board of Water Supply, Child & Family Services, Kahumana, Liliʻuokalani Trust, Hawaiian Electric, and the Honolulu Community Action Program (HCAP), each offering valuable resources and support for local families.
“Our goal is to meet people where they are. These fairs bring government and nonprofit services directly into the communities that need them most,” said Amy Asselbaye, Executive Director of the Office of Economic Revitalization. “Hundreds of people have shown up to these resource fairs throughout the summer, proving there is still a significant need for housing support and cost-of-living relief on Oʻahu. We’re committed to listening and working alongside communities across the island to increase access to essential resources.”
The resource fair is free, family-friendly, and open to all.
