HONOLULU — The City and County of Honolulu and Brigham Young University Hawaiʻi (BYUH) will host a Pop-Up Community Assistance Center (CAC) to support Windward and North Shore residents on Saturday, April 4, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the BYUH Gymnasium in Lāʻie.
The Pop-Up CAC will bring together City agencies and local non-profit organizations to provide resources and services for individuals and families impacted by recent events. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect directly with service providers offering assistance and information in a centralized location.
The City’s Community Assistance Fair will offer recovery support services, including:
• Financial assistance
• Food distribution and SNAP enrollment support
• Assistance with replacing vital documents
• Insurance guidance
• Agricultural support
• Shelter and housing assistance
Access to government services, including:
• Permitting assistance
• Billing support
• Public safety resources
• Transportation services
• Utility assistance
This Pop-Up CAC is a one-day event that is designed to expand access to resources for residents in Windward and North Shore communities.
In addition to the one-day event in Lāʻie, the CAC and Distribution Hub at Waialua District Park will remain open on Saturday to continue supporting residents in that location, though services will be limited.
