City suspends DMV and satellite city hall services on Friday

HONOLULU – Satellite city halls and driver licensing centers in the City and County of Honolulu will be closed on Friday due to severe-weather concerns.

Residents are asked to reschedule their March 13 appointments for services such as renewing a driver’s license, taking a behind-the-wheel road test, or changing vehicle ownership.

However, March 13 appointments will be honored next week at any location, with proof of the appointment.

Appointments can be made at www.alohaQ.org for most services, or at https://www12.honolulu.gov/csdarts/frmApptInt.aspxfor road tests.

Appointments are also offered Saturdays at certain satellite city halls and driver licensing centers for residents to renew driver’s licenses and state identification cards, as well as to take the driving test. Plans are for the Saturday hours to be offered throughout the year.
