HONOLULU — The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Budget and Fiscal Services is reminding Oʻahu property owners that the second installment of real property taxes for the 2025-2026 tax year is due by Friday, Feb. 20, 2026.
Tax bills were mailed on Jan. 20 to all property owners or the respective agents servicing their accounts. If you pay your real property taxes directly and have not received your real property tax bill, you should immediately check for any taxes due by:
- Going online, to honolulupropertytax.com
- Sending an email to bfstreasmailbox@honolulu.gov
- Calling (808) 768-3980 for individual assistance
Property owners are reminded that failure to pay real property taxes by the due date because of non-receipt of a tax bill will not excuse you from being assessed a penalty of up to 10%, plus interest of 12% per year.
How and Where to Pay:
- Pay online at http://www.rphnlpay.com or by calling 1-808-825-6819 using a credit card (MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Discover, JCB), or electronic check. A convenience fee is applied by the service provider and will be included at the time of payment completion. Online and phone payments are accepted 24/7.
- The Division of Treasury — located within Honolulu Hale at 530 S. King Street, Room 115 — is open Monday through Friday, 7:50 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., and accepts credit/debit cards (MasterCard and VISA), cash, or checks. A convenience fee is applied to credit/debit card transactions.
- Nine satellite city hall offices across Oʻahu offer no-appointment-required Express Service for in-person property tax payments. You may pay with a credit/debit card (MasterCard, VISA, or Discover), cash, or check, and you may pay up to five real property tax parcels on one check. A service fee is applied to credit/debit card transactions. Please refer to honolulu.gov/csd/satellite-city-hall for satellite city hall locations and hours of operation.
If you are paying by check, please be sure the account holder’s name and bank account number are imprinted. Otherwise, your check will be returned, and a late penalty and interest may be assessed. Please write the Tax Map Key Number on the check. If your check is dishonored, you will be charged a Returned Item Fee of $25.
If using your financial institution’s bill pay service, please allow extra time for processing. These payments are mailed without a U.S. Postal Service postmark, tracking, or proof of the actual mailing date, and we cannot guarantee on-time arrival as we have no control over Postal Service delivery.
Meet the Feb. 20 Deadline:
To ensure your payment is considered timely and not subject to penalty and interest:
- Pay online at http://www.rphnlpay.com
- Pay in person at Honolulu Hale or any of the nine satellite city halls
- Pay by mail and request a manual local postmark at the Postal Service counter or obtain proof of mailing by using certified mail, registered mail, or obtain a certificate of mailing
- Be aware that a postmark now reflects when mail is processed by a Postal Service machine, which may not be the same day it was dropped off or collected.
