City refuse drop-off locations to reopen and collection to resume following severe weather

HONOLULU — Due to a landslide that occurred during severe weather impacting O’ahu, the City and County of Honolulu Department of Environmental Services (ENV) will keep Kapa’a Transfer Station located at 100 Kapaʻa Quarry Road in Kailua closed until further notice.

All other ENV drop-off locations will operate during regular hours starting on Sunday, March 15. Locations and hours of operation can be found on our website at https://www.honolulu.gov/env/ref/waste-drop-off-locations/.

Refuse curbside collection will resume as normal on Monday, March 16. As a reminder, any gray refuse cart collection that was missed on March 14 in the neighborhoods from Kailua to Lāʻie will be made up and missed gray carts should be left out in those areas until they are serviced.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to stay informed by signing up for HNL Alert, the City’s official emergency notification system.
