The City and County of Honolulu announced Friday that a series of online dashboards detailing property damages in different communities brought on by recent severe weather events are now available online at the City’s Kona Low Storm Recovery website.

Dashboards are currently available for the following regions:

North Shore (including Waialua and Haleʻiwa)

Central Oʻahu

Waiʻanae Coast

Ewa

Urban Honolulu

East Honolulu

Koʻolau Poko

Koʻolau Loa

For each region, data is broken down by the number of properties that sustained damage, as well how severe the damage was for each property. The data also includes:

Whether the property was a multi-family dwelling, single-family home, or another type of property

Whether the occupants of the property were the homeowners or renters

Whether the properties had flood insurance or not

A summary dashboard, which aggregates the data from each individual region’s dashboard, currently shows that at least 1,074 properties either sustained damage or were rendered temporarily inaccessible. Of those properties, at least 22 are considered destroyed, and an additional 257 will require extensive repairs before being safe to live in again.

The dashboards will continue to be updated as additional damage reports are submitted. Residents who sustained property damages during the Kona low storm events should report property damages on the City’s One Oahu website.
