Lā‘ie CAC (Saturday Only – April 4)

On Saturday, April 4, most CAC services will temporarily relocate to the BYU–Hawaiʻi Gymnasium in Lā‘ie from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. to provide recovery assistance to windward and North Shore residents who may have difficulty traveling to Waialua.

Waipahu Convenience Center Notice

The Waipahu Convenience Center may experience temporary delays today, April 2, due to Hawaiian Electric utility work along Waipahu Depot Street between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Intermittent road closures may result in traffic delays of approximately 15 to 30 minutes. The Waipahu Convenience Center will remain open and continue normal operations during this time. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.

Waialua Fire Station Reopening

The Honolulu Fire Department’s Station 14 is expected to return to its normal operations at its firehouse beginning today, Thursday, April 2. The station was temporarily relocated to Waialua District Park due to flooding.

Debris/Cleanup Removal

Debris hauling operations remain ongoing at the temporary debris storage and reduction site at Patsy T. Mink Central Oʻahu Regional Park (CORP). As of Wednesday, April 1, crews transported 10 loads (approximately 43 tons) of debris from Waialua to CORP. An additional 17 loads (approximately 200 tons) were transported from CORP to the landfill, and 2 loads (approximately 4 tons) were transported from CORP to a metal recycler.

Curbside storm debris collection in Waialua will take place on Monday, April 6, 2026. This is a one-day collection for Waialua residents only. Residents are asked to place storm debris at the curb by Sunday evening, April 5, to ensure pickup. Crews will conduct this collection while continuing regular operations and supporting ongoing recovery efforts.
