Server Training & Test
The Honolulu Liquor Commission offers an online Server Training & Test for managers and bartenders. Limited dates for in-person training are also available by contacting our Training Section.
To register for the online Server Training & Test:
- Click Event Calendar and select a date. All classes begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. (login at 9:45 a.m.) on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
- Click the Zoom registration link, complete the form and submit.
- A confirmation email containing a link to the online training will be sent to your email. Click “Join Meeting” on your scheduled day. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 10 minutes, contact our office.
- Download and print the Server Training Worksheet and complete during the presentation. At the end of training, an online test will be given.
- If you pass Server Training, you will receive an email confirming you passed the class with instructions to obtain your Liquor Card.
- Schedule an appointment using AlohaQ to visit our office and obtain your Liquor Card. Bring your required documents.
Additional documentation for the Virtual Server Training & Test:
“Under 21 No Can” – 8-minute (for off-premises consumption, left) and 12-minute (for on-premises consumption, right) videos that provide information to ensure licensees and employees are compliant with Hawaii State Liquor Laws and Rules of the Honolulu Liquor Commission regarding the prohibition of sale and service of liquor to underage customers.
Training and Education
The Honolulu Liquor Commission offers Server Training for anyone hired to work as a Manager, Assistant Manager, or Bartender at a liquor licensed permise on Oahu.
Attendees must first successfully complete the Server Training program by attending the Server Training and passing the examination to be eligible to obtain their Certificate of Registration (Liquor Card)

Please do not bring children into the classroom or leave them in the lobby area while you are in training.
