- Citizens Advisory Commission on Emergency Management’s (CACEM) to provide Recommendations:
- Advise the Mayor
- Advise the Honolulu City Council
- Advise the Director of Emergency Management
- The Citizens Advisory Commission on Emergency Management (CACEM) is to provide a decision on the type of advisory/reporting schedule they would like to commit to. Last meeting the following schedule was discussed as a possibility. CACEM was to determine their bandwidth and advise.
- Biannual for the Mayor (Written)
- Annual for the City Council (Written)
- Quarterly for the director (Verbal)
- Citizens Advisory Commission on Emergency Management’s (CACEM) to provide Recommendations:
- New Business
- Introduction of new Commissioner
- Commissioner Anna Neubauer
- Election of new Citizens Advisory Commission on Emergency Management (CACEM) Vice Chairperson
- The Committee will accept nominations and conduct a vote among CACEM members present during the meeting.
- Introduction of the new Department of Emergency Management Training and Exercise Staff Officer (DEM Director)
- Mary Evelyn Daughety
- Updates on how the City and County of Honolulu and the State of Hawai‘i are integrating and improving overall coordination, including the State of Hawai‘i’s Emergency Operations Center; disaster recovery.
- Discussion regarding how individuals with disabilities are notified, assisted, and safely evacuated during emergencies, including consideration of accessibility needs, transportation, communication methods, and coordination with emergency response agencies.
- Introduction of new Commissioner
- Motion to Adjourn
