II. NEW BUSINESS
a. Ka Waihona o Ka Naʻauao Public Charter School – Richard K. III. OLD BUSINESS
a. Made the request to Chair Agustin for the WCCHC education efforts at the health center, Nānākuli Butler Building, by Leinaala Kanana, LSW, Vice President & Interim Director of Ka ‘Ike Ola, Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center to be presented at the next available Board meeting.

1. Honoring Placed Based Resolution Requests- Example: School Resource Officer- NHIS
2. Update DOE requirements
a. Complex Area Superintendent (CAS), PCNC and SCC representatives for each school in districts are required to attend all Education Committee meetings to provide written reports including attendance, activated CIP funds, etc.
b. Audit of Nanakuli High & Intermediate School 10 years back and allocations to completed projects to assure health and safety of students.
c. Requesting 100% of CIP proposals requests 2026 TO be granted with urgency.
3. RESOLUTION TO SUPPORT SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER (SRO) PROGRAM AT NĀNĀKULI HIGH & INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL (NHIS) AND WAIʻANAE HIGH SCHOOL (WHS) IN LEEWARD, OʻAHU

VI. ANNOUNCEMENTS
a. Kū Kiaʻi Niu (Play) performed by the Ka Waihona o ka Naʻauao Papa ʻElima haumana on
Saturday, January 31, at The Salvation Army Kroc Center Hawaiʻi, at 2:00pm & 5:00pm
b. Mahina ʻOlelo Hawaiʻi – please look out for opportunities to learn our Hawaiian language, culture and traditions.
i. Ka Waihona o ka Naʻauao has several events:
1. Makua ʻŌlelo Competition – Seeking Speakers Join us for Hoʻōla i ka ʻŌlelo, a Hawaiian language speaking competition celebrating adult voices and language journeys. Open to Novice and Advanced speakers ages 21–55, this event uplifts ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi through meaningful haʻiʻōlelo shared with confidence, pride, and purpose.

VII. NEXT EDUCATION COMMITTEE MEETING: Thursday, March 12, 2026, 6:30-8:00 PM
a. All meetings to be held on the second Thursday except for the month of June 2026 (Monday).

1. Organizations: Organizationʻs name, your name (other presenters) and title, project description/mission/etc., and purpose for attending the committee meeting. Come prepared with a slide presentation, handouts (at least 10 hard copies).
2. Community: Your name/others attending with you, where you reside, your community concern/announcement, purpose for attending the committee meeting. You are invited to bring photos, slides, handouts, etc. regarding your purpose for attending the committee meeting.
