Purpose: To Address, Discuss and Resolve issues that affect the Parks and Recreation Affairs of Waimānalo and its residents and then make recommendations to the Full Waimānalo Neighborhood Board for Approval.
This is a five (5) member committee represented by Brenda Wong, Committee Chair, Lourdes Millan Committee
co-chair & Secretary, Moani Nanod-Sitch, Hulali Mohi, and Pilialoha Callahan
Rules of Speaking: Anyone wishing to speak is asked to raise his/her hand, and when recognized by the Chair, to address comments to the Chair. Speakers and those giving reports are encouraged to keep their comments to less than three (3) minutes. Please silence all electronic devices.
Note: The Committee may not take action on any agenda item. Recommendations shall be reported back to the Waimānalo Neighborhood Board No. 32 at its next regular monthly meeting for action.

6) On-going Concerns about our Waimanalo Parks
a) Discussion about ocean safety situation regarding lifeguard’s comments on social media

i. Signs, off roading, fence repairs, boulders
ii. Illegal Commercial activity

v. Vehicles on beaches and grass

a) Covering from the sun for our two Waimanalo Playgrounds
b) Hunananiho Gate

i. staffing shortage
ii. Mowing the fields/Community Partnership with Department of Parks and Recreation

i. The next Waimānalo Neighborhood Board No. 32 Parks and Recreation Committee meeting may be in August as a new committee for Parks and Rec will be forming that month. There is no parks and rec committee in July.
