Public Safety, Public Health, and Civil Defense (PSPHCD) Committee
March 2025 Meeting Report
1. A committee meeting was held in-person on March 13, 2025, chaired by Bill Hicks and attended by committee members David Laeha, Levani Lipton, and Claudine Tomasa and KNB member Kate Righter.
2. Continuing Issues were discussed including storm drains, street sweeping, opening the berm, and the city’s NPDES permit renewal. A definitive answer is needed regarding whether or not the are any restrictions on MV-22 operations over civilian areas. The future of the Homelessness in Kailua PSPHCD Subcommittee should be evaluated.
