5. CPOD Presentation Meeting with Prospective Property Owners. This discussion will take place AFTER an official letter is sent to Elected Officials, requesting support for the Board’s August 7th action to adopt a Resolution regarding the Concept of CPODs in Kailua.
6. Discussion Regarding the Recent Tsunami Watch/Advisory – July 29, 2025
a. Identify concerns and challenges, and develop strategies and solutions for Kailua, specifically regarding:
– Evacuation and Tsunami Evacuation Zones
– Traffic Flow
– Official policies related to closing public parks/beaches and shutting down critical utilities
– Communication plan for our community
– Follow-up with the City & County Department of Emergency Management (DEM) and State of Hawaii Emergency Management (HI-EMA)
– Other concerns/issues
