II. Introductions: Introduction of committee members, neighborhood board members, invited agencies, and community participants.
III. Review of Existing North Shore Transportation and Parking Studies
A. Discussion and overview of prior transportation, traffic, and parking studies conducted for the North Shore area, including findings and recommendations relevant to current planning and infrastructure improvements.
IV. Agency and Government Updates (If Available)
A. Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation (HDOT) – Updates on state transportation projects affecting the North Shore.
B. City & County of Honolulu Department of Transportation Services (DTS) – Updates on traffic management, pedestrian safety initiatives, and transportation planning.
C. Honolulu City Council – District Representative – Updates from the office of the North Shore’s City Council representative regarding transportation or infrastructure initiatives.
V. Current Project Updates
A. Laniākea Beach Parking Lot Project
B. Status update on development of the planned parking and safety improvements for the Laniākea Beach area.
C. Kamehameha Highway Repaving Project
D. Repaving between Waimea Bay and Haleʻiwa Town, which began January 3, 2026, including project progress and anticipated timeline.
VI. Upcoming Transportation Projects
A. Haleʻiwa Walkways Project
B. Overview of planned pedestrian infrastructure improvements and walkway connectivity in Haleʻiwa
C. Haleʻiwa Road Bike Path
D. Discussion of proposed bike path improvements along Haleʻiwa Road, including design concepts and timeline.
VII. Public Comment
A. Community members may provide comments or raise transportation-related concerns affecting the North Shore community.
VIII. Committee Discussion and Possible Recommendations
A. Committee discussion regarding transportation priorities and possible recommendations to the full North Shore Neighborhood Board.
