Chair Danielle Bass called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The Board recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Chair Bass provided the rules for the Neighborhood Board meeting – [0:01:09]. Roll call was conducted – [0:01:54] and quorum was established with 18 members present [0:03:27]. Note: This 23-member Board requires 12 members to establish a quorum and to take official Board action.

Honolulu Police Department (HPD) – [0:07:05]: Lieutenant Vierra provided the monthly statistics from March 2025 to April 2025. The safety tips for the month were regarding how to make our vehicles safer.

City & County of Honolulu Climate Action Plan – [0:42:20]: Dr. Kealoha Fox announced that The City is updating its Climate Action Plan (CAP), originally adopted in 2021, with new goals to boost renewable energy and cut greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. The revised plan, expected to go to the City Council by early next year, is being shaped through community input and focuses on five areas: transportation, energy, waste, sustainable communities, and food systems. A draft is planned for July, and public workshops are being held across Oʻahu, including Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Pearl City Public Library and Monday, June 9, 2025 at Waialua Elementary.

Neighborhood Board Elections: The 2025 Neighborhood Board Election voting will start on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 7:45 a.m. HST and runs to Friday, May 16, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. HST.

City and County of Honolulu and Hawaiʻi Foodbank are Partnering to Fight Against Hunger: Neighborhood Assistant Rachel Cristobal will be collecting donated canned goods at tonight’s meeting.
