City and County of Honolulu and Hawai’i Foodbank are Partnering to Fight Against Hunger: Neighborhood Assistant Anson Wu will be collecting donated canned goods at Tonight’s meeting.

The Pearl City Neighborhood Board No. 21 next board meeting will be both Hybrid Virtual and In-Person facilitated on WEBEX virtually and facilitated at Momilani Community Center 715 Hoomoana St, Pearl City on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. The Pearl City Neighborhood Board No. 21 meetings are broadcasted on Focus Channel 49 and air 2nd Saturday at 6:00 PM and 1st and 3rd Friday at 1:00 PM.

I. CALL TO ORDER – [0:00:01]: Chair Larry Veray called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Pledge of Allegiance – [0:01:12]: The Cub Scout Pack 75 administered the Pledge of Allegiance.

Chair Veray reviewed the time limit policy and procedures before conducting a roll call. Quorum WAS established with nine (9) members present. Note: This 11-member board requires six (6) members to establish a quorum and to take official Board action.

Honolulu Police Department (HPD) – [0:03:25]: Lieutenant Glenn Iwasaki provided the monthly statistics for February 2025 and March 2025 safety tip regarding not leaving your valuables in your vehicle.
• February 2025 Statistics: There were 9 motor vehicle thefts, 7 burglaries, 17 thefts, 5 Unauthorized Entry into Motor Vehicles (UEMV), 1,394 total calls for service, and 4,966 total calls of service for District 3.

Recognition of Community Volunteers and Board Members – [0:21:38]: Chair Veray recognized and presented certificates to the Rotary Club of Pearlridge, Rylan Tanaka, Eco Rotary Club of Kakaʻako, Pearl City Community Church, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Mana Loa Nimitz Lions, Leeward Community Church and Fernandes Ohana for adopting a park or block. Vice Chair Doran presented a certificate to Chair Veray to recognize his work on the Japanese Peace Bell.

Victor Flint announced his retirement after 50 years of work. Chair Veray presented a certificate for Victor Flint recognizing his work.
