Next Meeting: The next meeting of the Makiki/Lower Punchbowl/Tantalus Neighborhood Board No. 10 Nice Neighborhoods Committee is scheduled to be held on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. online via Webex and in person at the office of House Representative Kim Coco Iwamoto at State Capitol Room 327.

Members Present: Harris Nakamoto, Chuck Lee, Nancy Depicolzuane, and Kahanu Chan.
Members Absent: Nathan Char.
Guests: State Representative Della Au Belatti and State Representative Kim Coco Iwamoto.
1. Call to Order at 2:04 pm
2. Approval of 7/28/25 Meeting Minutes: APPROVED
3. Committee Concerns from Previous Meeting
a. Bill 7 Amendments Update and Discussion, Chuck Lee shared updates on CM Tupola Housing Committee
testimonies, and upcoming meeting with Gavin Thornton. We are getting lots of visibility.
4. Follow-up Items
a. Resilience Hub. Harris confirmed his initial meeting with Lucy Ann at HoMA on September 4th. First step will
be to have a Community Hub event for neighboring building home residents to share vision of Resilience Hub.
Will keep committee, Rep Belatti-Au and Rep. Iwamoto informed to assist with mail invites, etc.
5. Resident and Community Concerns not listed on the agenda
a. The committee had open discussion on updates of Tipsy Pig II media coverage and Makiki Park resolutions
regarding dog park and additional lighting.
6. Next Meeting: Monday, September 29, 2025, 2 PM online via WebEx and in-person location to be at Hawaii State
House Representative Kim Coco Iwamoto’s office at the Hawaii State Capitol Room 327 (415 South Beretania,
Honolulu, HI 96813)
