HONOLULU – Services (ENV) will host storm debris drop-off event Saturday, April 4, to assist residents in Lā‘ie and surrounding communities with ongoing cleanup efforts following recent severe weather.
The drop-off will take place at Brigham Young University Hawaiʻi (BYUH) parking lot in Lāʻie from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please enter on Naniloa Loop, turn left into BYUH side entrance and take an immediate right into the parking lot. Please note there is construction located at the entrance of BYUH.
ENV crews will have trucks on-site to collect and haul general storm debris and white goods (appliances) to help residents safely dispose of damaged materials.
“We understand how difficult the cleanup process can be after a storm, and our hearts go out to everyone impacted,” said ENV Director Roger Babcock. “This drop-off is one way we’re working to support communities as they recover and rebuild. We’re here to help make that process a little easier.”
Residents are asked to:
• Bring debris only during the scheduled event hours
• Separate general storm debris from white goods when possible
• Follow on-site staff instructions for safe and efficient unloading
Please note that household hazardous waste will not be accepted at this event.
