Holiday Pop-Up brings Santa, music, and community resources to Hālawa Station

Holiday Pop-Up at Hālawa Station

HONOLULU — The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Transportation Services (DTS) invites the community to celebrate the holiday season at the “Holiday Pop-Up at Hālawa Station” on Saturday, December 13, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The free, family-friendly event will take place at the Hālawa–Aloha Stadium Skyline Station and will feature festive entertainment, treats for keiki, helpful community resources, and a special visit from Santa Claus.

In addition to live holiday music and Santa handing out candy and treats, attendees can connect with valuable resources from Parents and Children Together (PACT), and the Hawai‘i Foodbank will be on site to provide information and assist with SNAP enrollment, helping families access essential food support services. (Note: This event will not include a food drive or food drop-off.)

The Holiday Pop-Up also encourages attendees to ride Skyline and TheBus for an easy, stress-free way to get to the event. Families are invited to continue their holiday outing by visiting other destinations along the Skyline guideway between the Kualakaʻi East Kapolei and Kahauiki Kalihi Transit Center stations on Middle Street.

DTS reminds the public that using public transportation during the holidays is a safe and sustainable way to travel, especially given the increased activity around shopping centers and event venues.

Normal transit fares apply. Children ages 5 and under ride free when accompanied by a fare-paying adult or guardian.
