HONOLULU – The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Transportation Services (DTS) announced Wednesday that it will extend hours for Skyline rail operations on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., to provide passenger service for the Leeward Community College (LCC) graduation commencement ceremony.
The LCC commencement ceremony celebrates the accomplishments of students earning their degree or certificates in their fields of study. LCC holds a commencement ceremony at the end of every spring semester at the Puʻuloa (Pearl City) campus. The ceremony will begin at 5 p.m.
As parking within LCC will be limited, riders wishing to take Skyline to LCC will be able to use any of the eight stations west and east of the Hālaulani Leeward Community College station. Riders will also be able to utilize the park-and-rides at the following stations:
- Keoneʻae UH West Oʻahu Station (304 parking stalls available at the park-and-ride)
- Honouliuli Hoʻopili Station (344 parking stalls available at the park-and-ride)
- Hālawa Aloha Stadium Station (590 parking stalls available at the park-and-ride)
Family and friends coming from the east can utilize the Hālawa Aloha Stadium park-and-ride, and those coming from the west can utilize both Keoneʻae UH West and Honouliuli Hoʻopili park-and-rides.
The last trains will be leaving LCC Skyline station at:
Eastbound to Hālawa Aloha Stadium station: 8:53 p.m.
Westbound to Kualakaʻi East Kapolei station: 8:44 p.m.

Family and friends wishing to attend the ceremony via driving should be advised of traffic congestion heading into and out of the campus.
