DESCRIPTION:The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Parks and Rec
 reation (DPR) is thrilled to announce the 2026 Lei Court Selection\, sched
 uled for Saturday\, February 28\, 2026 beginning 9 a.m. at the Mission Mem
 orial Auditorium\n\nDuring the selection\, applicants  for the 2026 Lei C
 ourt will display their lei-making abilities\, hula performance\, poise\, 
 personality\, and public speaking in English and Hawaiian.  The selection
  will determine the Lei Queen/King and their Princes/Princesses to represe
 nt the City and County of Honolulu in an honorary capacity during select e
 vents throughout 2026. Of those events\, the Lei Day Celebration is  the 
 most prominent.\n\nIn accordance with the rotating age groups\, the 2026 L
 ei Court will consist of applicants of any gender identity in the Nā Māk
 ua O‘o (Elders in Training) demographic. Applicants must be between 46-6
 0 years of age by the day of the 2026 Lei Court Selection.\n\nFor more inf
