The reports offer a closer look at the technical aspects of various subjects by discussing the methodologies, data sources, and analytical framework underlying the findings.

These profiles provide summaries of selected demographic characteristics such as population, age, and housing units based on U.S. Census data. They are summarized by the geographic regions of Development Plan Areas and Subareas or Neighborhood Areas.

Socioeconomic projections up to the year 2050 are prepared for the eight Development Plan and Sustainable Communities Plans areas. This forecast of population, housing, visitor numbers, and employment represent the Planning Division’s best estimates of future conditions for Oʻahu. The future estimates are available below and are also included in the Annual Report on the Status of Land Use on Oʻahu.
