Refunds

Fees relating to building permits may be refunded under certain conditions. See below for the fees that may be refunded.

Plan Review Fee Refund

Plan Review Fee Refund Application shall be submitted in person at the One Stop Permit Center Reception Desk (350 S. King Street, 1st Floor).

Note: If payment was made via Credit Card, please also submit the Credit Card Statement which includes the Account Holder’s Name, Address, last 4 digits of the account number and the charge to be refunded circled.

Building/Sign Permit Refund

Building/Sign Permit Refund Application shall be submitted in person at the One Stop Permit Center Reception Desk (650 S. King Street, 1st Floor).

Steps to submit a refund application.

  1. Is the permit revoked? Verify status here.
    • If the permit is not revoked, the refund application will not be processed.
    • To revoke a permit, contact the listed building inspector on the permit.
  2. Complete the application and submit within 15 days of revocation. Application shall be time stamped.

Ewa Highway Impact Fee Refund

Ewa Highway Impact Fee Refund Application) shall be submitted in person at the One Stop Permit Center Reception Desk (650 S. King Street, 1st Floor).

Steps to submit a refund application.

  1. Write in to the Department of Planning and Permitting requesting approval for the Ewa Highway Impact Fee Refund.
  2. Department of Planning and Permitting will issue a letter indicating if refund will be approved.
  3. Upon approval, complete application with copy of approved letter. Application shall be time stamped.
