Certificate-Based Digital Signatures

DPP will now also accept certificate-based digital signatures in lieu of wet signatures.

Upload or submit signature certificate or signature trail when submitting digitally signed documents. (Each signature shall have its own verification method.) The certificate shall be shown on the document as DPP will not retain pdf metadata.

What is a certificate-based digital signature?

When a digital signature is applied to a PDF document via a digital signature solution software, a certificate of authenticity of the person who electroncially signed the document will be created.

Verification of Signature:A public key certificate is shown below the signature.The digital signature certificate is shown right next to the applied signature. Each certificate has a unique date and timestamp.A signature trail will be provided with each set of signed documents.
