Due to a staffing shortage, the Department of Planning and Permitting’s (DPP) Data Access and Imaging Branch (DAIB) will adjust its hours open to the public for walk-in service, to allow staff time to respond to the high volume of requests from the public. DAIB’s hours of operation open to the public shall be Monday through Thursday, 7:45am to noon, and closed on Fridays. All other DPP offices will be open as usual.
Also effective immediately, the following temporary measures will be in place:
- Walk-ins will be limited to small requests, payments and pick-up, Monday through Thursday from 7:45 a.m.-noon. If a request requires more research time, the customer may be asked to return at a later time, or provide more information.
- Completed orders will be emailed once payment is received in full.
- Email requests should be sent to dppdaib@honolulu.gov and not to individual DAIB staff. Do not submit multiple emails with the same request as it will cause additional delays.
- Phone calls to (808) 768-8277 will be forwarded to voicemail and requests will be answered in the order received.
These measures are temporary and the DPP appreciates the public’s patience as the department addresses the staffing shortage.
