Recognizing Keith Kiyoshi Suzuka with proclamation on his retirement

Mayor Rick Blangiardi and members of his leadership team, together with the Department of Housing and Land Management, recently recognized Keith Kiyoshi Suzuka on his well-deserved retirement during a proclamation signing ceremony at Honolulu Hale. As part of the ceremony, January 30, 2026, was officially designated Keith Kiyoshi Suzuka Day in recognition of his service to the City and County of Honolulu.

Keith previously served as Deputy Director of the former Department of Land Management and most recently as Executive Assistant. Throughout his tenure, Keith has been widely respected for his professionalism, integrity, and steady leadership—qualities that have left a lasting impact on both the department and the City.

Beyond his formal roles, Keith has been a generous mentor to colleagues across the department, always willing to share his institutional knowledge, offer guidance, and support others in their work.

While we are excited for Keith as he begins this next chapter, his presence and leadership will truly be missed.

Mahalo, Keith, for your years of service, mentorship, and dedication to the City of Honolulu, and best wishes on a well-earned retirement.
