Maintenance Work at Kekaulike Courtyards - 1039 Kekaulike Street (TMK 1-7-003:020)

On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, work to the HVAC system serving the property is scheduled to take place. The work has been coordinated by the Department of Housing and Land Management’s (DHLM)’s contracted property manager and will be performed by Continental Mechanical.

The work will require the use of a crane to place new equipment on the roof of the building. Crane access will occur via Kekaulike Street, and coordination has been completed with the Department of Transportation Services and on-site partners to ensure appropriate access, clearance, and safety measures are in place.

The primary crane lift is scheduled for January 14, 2026, with crane setup expected to begin at approximately 11:00 a.m. Lifting activities will occur shortly thereafter and may continue into the evening as needed, with the crane removed that same evening. Related construction work that will not impact the surrounding area is expected to continue through January 18, 2026, pending any unforeseen issues.

During this period, the surrounding area can expect the following:

  • Temporary pedestrian impacts during active crane operations
  • Intermittent construction-related noise associated with equipment use
  • Managed access around the work area to ensure public safety
