Affordable Housing Strategic Development Program

Details: The City and County of Honolulu (“City”), Department of Land Management (“DLM”), through its Department of Budget and Fiscal Services Division of Purchasing (“Purchasing”), is soliciting proposals from nonprofit entities or public agencies to make use of funds available from the City’s Affordable Housing Fund (“AHF”). The City anticipates awarding approximately $5,000,000 in AHF funds. The AHF is established by Section 9-204 of the Revised Charter of the City & County of Honolulu 1973 (Amended 2017 Edition) (“RCH”), and is further defined under Chapter 6, Article 63 of the Revised Ordinances of Honolulu 2021, as amended (“ROH”), with the most recent amendments occurring through Ordinance 20-9.

DHLM staff member appointed to Hawaiʻi Judicial Selection Commission

We’re proud to share that Ailina Tagupa-Laborte, a planner in DHLM’s Finance Division, has been appointed to serve on the Hawaii Judicial Selection Commission. Appointed by Senate President Ronald D. Kouchi, Ailina will serve a six-year term from April 2, 2026 through April 1, 2032.

This year, we moved housing forward, planned future neighborhoods, improved how public land is used, and strengthened long-term stewardship across Oʻahu.
