HOUSING PROPERTY / ASSET MANAGEMENT DIVISION

The Housing Property / Asset Management Division manages housing assets to ensure long-term performance and affordability. This includes oversight of City-owned affordable housing properties, asset stabilization, compliance monitoring, and long-term capital planning. The division plays a critical role in protecting public investment and preserving affordability across the City’s housing portfolio.

Rental Opportunties

The Housing Property / Asset Management Division oversees 21 affordable rental properties across Oʻahu, offering a total of 1,449 units. With an average occupancy rate of 95%—and full occupancy at key sites like Chinatown Manor, Mānoa Gardens Elderly Housing, and West Loch Elderly Village—the department continues to meet the growing demand for affordable housing. In the past year, DLM invested $3.8 million in renovations and ongoing maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping improvements.
