Community Based Agencies
The WorkHawaiʻi Division fosters new and continuing relationships with various community based agencies across the island, including Hina Mauka, Ka Poʻe o Kakaʻako, Hui Mahiʻai ʻĀina, Faith House Honolulu, Urban Makahiki, RYSE, and Mōhala Mai, to earn the trust and reliance of community members and promote services.
GED Satellite Locations
To increase the reach and accessibility of services, the WorkHawaiʻi Division established a Waiʻanae Satellite Office, offering GED preparation courses beginning February 2024. The division has additionally partnered with the Liliʻuokalani Trust to extend GED preparation courses to the Kapolei area beginning early 2024, and partnered with Palama Settlement to advertise services.
Hawaiʻi State Public Library System
The WorkHawaiʻi Division, in partnership with the Hawaiʻi State Public Library System, provides satellite services at ten State Libraries across the island every month to extend accessibility and services to community members.
Which library will we be at next?
Correctional Facilities
WorkHawaiʻi staff regularly go into the Halawa and Waiawa Correctional Facilities to promote services and programs to inmates transitioning to release, with additional outreach missions to the Women’s Correctional Center.
Unemployment Insurance Office
WorkHawaiʻi staff have established a regular presence at the Honolulu Unemployment Insurance Office, providing information on services and programs to Oʻahu’s Dislocated Worker population every Monday and Friday.

Extended Hours of Operation
The WorkHawaiʻi Division has extended its hours of operation to increase public access to free and vital job development, housing, and educational services.

The WorkHawaiʻi Division hosts regular Hiring Events at no cost to employers and job seekers, connecting qualified and enthusiastic individuals with sustainable jobs and careers.
