Standard work schedules are Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM, with paid State Holidays, and accrual of 21 sick and vacation days each per calendar year. Medical and retirement benefits included. Our Positions

WorkHawaiʻi Waiʻanae – 86-670 Farrington Highway

Starting Annual Salary: $58,296

As a Community Services Specialist, you’ll work directly with people in our community who are looking for help finding jobs, job training, or housing. Your role is to listen, understand their situation, and guide them toward the right resources that can help them move forward. You’ll also be part of a team that reaches out to the public, shares information, and maintains up to date databases and records of case management activities. This is primarily an outreach position – hope you like hiking!

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Helping People One-on-One: You’ll meet with individuals to learn about their skills, goals, and challenges. Whether they’re looking for a job, trying to get back into school, or need stable housing, you’ll help them figure out the next steps.
  • Creating Personal Action Plans: Once you understand their needs, you’ll work with them to create a plan—like finding the right job training, getting into housing programs, or connecting with support services like childcare or transportation help.
  • Staying Connected: You’ll keep in touch with each person to make sure they’re making progress and help them if things change along the way.
  • Spreading the Word: You’ll share information about our services with the public through community events, presentations, and direct outreach, both at resource sharing events and out in the community.
  • Keeping Records: You’ll help keep track of each person’s progress by writing case notes and filling out forms to meet program guidelines.
  • Supporting the Team: You’ll also help with everyday tasks like writing reports or following up with other programs and partners.

As a Community Services Specialist, you’ll work directly with young people aged 16-24, who are looking for help furthering or completing their education, finding jobs, or job training. Your role is to listen, understand their situation, and guide them toward the right resources that can help them move forward. You’ll also be part of a team that reaches out to the public, shares information, and maintains up to date databases and records of case management activities. Young people are a vulnerable population, and our clientele come from a variety of cultures, backgrounds, and home environments. Experience working with youth is a preferred qualification.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Planner, you’ll work directly with the Youth Services Team, focused on servicing young people aged 16-24, who are looking for help furthering or completing their education, finding jobs, or job training. Your role is to review digital files, provide customer services, and maintain up to date databases and records of case management activities. Young people are a vulnerable population, and our clientele come from a variety of cultures, backgrounds, and home environments. Experience working with youth is a preferred qualification.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Helping the Team with Administrative Tasks: You’ll be reviewing and auditing files, processing purchase orders, maintaining databases, and other administrative tasks as needed. 
  • Staying Connected: You’ll keep in touch with each person to make sure they’re making progress and help them if things change along the way.
  • Spreading the Word: You’ll share information about our services with the public through community events, presentations, and direct outreach, both at resource sharing events and out in the community.
  • Keeping Records: You’ll keep track of the Youth Team’s expenditures, trainings, and other various record keeping so we can stay consistent and informed about what has been accomplished and what is still left to do.
  • Supporting the Team: You’ll also help with everyday tasks like writing reports or following up with other programs and partners.

As a Resource Center Specialist, you’ll work directly with members of our community who are looking for help furthering or completing their education, finding jobs, or job training. Your role is to listen, understand their situation, and guide them toward the right resources that can help them move forward. Our Resource Center is open to all members of the public. You will be providing assistance one-on-one as needed to individuals utilizing our computers, answering questions and empowering them to problem solve and learn on their own, while maintaining the space as a safe and productive environment for all. You’ll also be part of a team that reaches out to the public, shares information, and maintains up to date databases and records of case management activities.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Helping People One-on-One: You’ll meet with individuals to learn about their skills, goals, and challenges. Whether they’re looking to complete or continue their education, going into vocational training, or finding a job, you’ll help them figure out the next steps.
  • Staying Connected: You’ll build a rapport with the many individuals who utilize the Resource Center and get to know their needs and struggles, and how to best service them. You’ll also get to know the many services provided by our partners, to refer appropriately to our clientele. 
  • Spreading the Word: You’ll share information about our services with the public through community events, presentations, and direct outreach, both at resource sharing events and out in the community.
  • Keeping Records: You’ll help keep track individuals utilizing the Resource Center on a daily basis, and maintaining and updating online records as needed.
  • Supporting the Team: You’ll also help with everyday tasks like providing individuals with referrals to partners and support services, maintaining order and cleanliness in the lobby area, and booking and scheduling conference room utilization.
