Dwelling unit in the City's Special Needs Housing inventory that can be utilized by a qualified subrecipient provider organization as either a low- to moderate income rental or group home for a special needs population on Oʻahu

The Division currently manages leases for 63 properties within CBDD’s Special Needs housing inventory are focused on community needs and affordable housing and provides needed services across all of Oʻahu. Below is a quick snapshot of where our Special Needs Housing properties are located.

Properties

Our 63 properties are disbursed amongst 19 zip codes for easy access and proximity to the residents and families we help serve.

- Honolulu (Kalihi, Iwilei, Chinatown, Punchbowl, McCully, Makiki, Mānoa, Kaimukī, Hawaiʻi Kai)
- Windward (Kailua, Kāneʻohe)
- North Shore (Hauʻula, Kahuku, Haleʻiwa)
- Central Oʻahu (Wahiawā, Waipahu, Pearl City, ʻAiea)
- ʻEwa
- Waiʻanae (Māʻili, Waiʻanae and Mākaha)

Of the 63 properties in DCS’s special needs inventory,

- 49 provide housing and/or emergency shelter for special needs populations
- 14 provide affordable housing
