HONOLULU – The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Customer Services announces it will open two locations on Good Friday, April 3, to assist residents who need to replace or renew driver’s licenses and state identification cards damaged in last month’s Kona-Low storms.

The storm-related special holiday hours are being offered on a first-come, first-served basis at the Kapālama Driver Licensing Center from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, when applications will be processed for duplicate driver’s licenses and state identification cards, as well for renewing driver’s licenses lost or damaged in the storms.

Similarly, the storm-related special hours are being offered on a first-come, first-served basis at the Pearlridge Satellite City Hall from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, when applications will be processed only for duplicate driver’s licenses and state identification cards lost or damaged in the storms.

“Our immediate priority is helping residents in hard-hit areas get back on their feet as quickly as possible by offering these special hours to remove one of the many hurdles faced during this recovery period,” said Department of Customer Services Director Kim Hashiro, who oversees satellite city halls and driver licensing centers in the City and County of Honolulu.

No appointments required for the storm-related service being offered at the two locations; walk-ins only. The fee for obtaining a duplicate driver’s license is $6. The fee for renewing a driver’s license or state ID is $40. For more information, visit www.OneOahu.org
