McCully - Moiliili Neighborhood Board # 8 Regular Meeting Agenda Thursday, May 3, 2007 7:00 p.m. A quorum of 9 members must be present by 7:10 p.m. or the meeting is cancelled Please turn off/silence all pagers and phones. You must be recognized by the Chair before speaking. Only two turns per person to speak (including Board members) for one minute each time. I. CALL TO ORDER at 7:00 p.m.
II. PUBLIC SAFETY & COMMUNITY LIAISON (35 MINUTES) - Questions asked of these officials, in private or in writing before or after they speak would be greatly appreciated to save time.
A. Honolulu Fire Department (2 minutes) B. Honolulu Police Department (5 minutes total) 1. District 1 Captain Grossi, Commanding - Pro Tem 2. District 7 Captain Green, Commanding - Pro Tem C. UH - Manoa Jim Manke (2 minutes) manke@hawaii.edu D. Kamehameha Schools/Bishop Estate - Tara Young ( unable to attend) The Varsity Motors lot will be repaved within the next 60 days E. Mayor's Representative - Mark Oto (3 minutes) F. Governor's Representative - Sandra Lee Kunimoto (2 minutes) G. Board of Water Supply - Keith Ishinaga ((2 minutes) H. III. FILLING OF VACANCIES - (2 minutes) 1 in Sub-District One and 3 in Sub - District Two IV. PRESENTATION/Meeting – (25–45 minutes) During this time our Board will recess. Special Meeting on McCully/Moiliili Sub-District Boundaries and Reduction of Seats with Grant Tanimoto, Neighborhood Commission Chair and Joan Manke, Executive Secretary, Neighborhood Commission Office and others. V. HOUSEKEEPING – (5 minutes) For information and action, if necessary A. Neighborhood Commission April 23rd Meeting Report B. Neighborhood Board Task Force April 23rd Meeting Report C. Stream Status a. b. Hausten Ditch - No action taken due to cost c. Makiki Stream - Report on April 14th clean up (Next meetings 8/11 and 10/20) d. Manoa Stream - Report on April 21st clean up e. Palolo Stream - No clean up during rainy season D. OMPO April 18th Report - Transportation Enhancement Project The winner will be chosen May 1 after the agenda was mailed. Resolution to Establish a Mental Health Task Force - Scott Cheever C. will have a tent representing Americanism and Volunteerism. Flyers from City, State and private agencies are welcome as well as assistance in tent. D. *Newsletter - R. Lockwood IX. MINUTES - (3 minutes) Written corrections of April 5, 2007 meeting are encouraged to expedite time.
