Please turn off/silence all pagers and phones.  You must be recognized by the Chair before speaking.

Only two turns per person to speak (including Board members) for one minute each time.

 

I.    CALL TO ORDER at 7:00 p.m.

 

II.   PUBLIC SAFETY & COMMUNITY LIAISON (35 MINUTES) - Questions asked of these officials, in private or in writing before or after they speak would be greatly appreciated to save time.

IV.  PRESENTATION/Meeting – (25–45 minutes)  During this time our Board will recess.

Special Meeting on McCully/Moiliili Sub-District Boundaries and Reduction of Seats with Grant Tanimoto, Neighborhood Commission Chair and Joan Manke, Executive Secretary, Neighborhood Commission Office and others.

        a.  Ala Wai Canal - For an update on the Bypass go to www.beachwalkbypass.com.

        b.  Hausten Ditch - No action taken due to cost

        c.  Makiki Stream - Report on April 14th clean up (Next meetings 8/11 and 10/20)

        d.  Manoa Stream - Report on April 21st clean up

e.       Palolo Stream -  No clean up during rainy season

 

 

 

D.      OMPO April 18th Report - Transportation Enhancement Project

The winner will be chosen May 1 after the agenda was mailed.  Thanks to all who sent letters and emails of support.

2. Answer the four questions presented at the April 5, 2007 meeting:1) Would they isolate or quarantine people infected?  2) How do they receive food or drink?  3) What percent of the population needs to be sick to declare an emergency?  4) When would Homeland Security or Martial Law be necessary?
