Please turn off/silence all pagers and telephones.  You must be recognized by the Chair before speaking.  Each person, including Board members, can speak only twice for one minute each time.

 

I.    CALL TO ORDER at 7:00 p.m.

 

II.     PUBLIC SAFETY & COMMUNITY LIAISON (35 MINUTES) - Questions in private or in writing to  officials, before or after they speak, would be greatly appreciated to save time.

          1. Ala Wai Canal - for update on Bypass go to www.beachwalkbypass.com

          2. Hausten Ditch - No action due to cost.

 3. Makiki Stream - Next clean ups are: April 14th, August 11th, October 20th

 4. Stream – April 21st        

 5. Palolo Stream – No clean up during rainy season.

A.  Community Sustainability Workshop – April 14, 2007 with AARP, the Department of Health and N.B. #8 are holding a workshop from 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Washington Middle School Library with lunch provided.  Seeking 25 committed people to take the lessons taught and teach other groups throughout our community. 

      B.  Lunalilo School

- continued blackout of the school

  

IX.  APPROVE MINUTES (3 minutes) – Requesting written corrections to save time. 

A.  November 2006:

-          Page 2 - change “autumn of 2007” to “autumn of 2008”

-          Page 2 - change “Mark Ota” to “Mark Oto”

      B.  January 2007:

- Page 8 - #7 change “ugly view” to: “because of concerns about the negative impact to the Moiliili  community, the obstruction of the view plane, the construction of huge bases for the elevated system going up University Avenue, the loss of on-street parking and the loss of tranquility in the community by the elevated system running almost 24 hours a day.”
