HOUSEKEEPING. For information. (5 minutes or less) A. Neighborhood Commission meeting on July 24th at Kapolei elected Grant Tanimoto as Chair and Sylvia Young as Vice Chair. B. Neighborhood Commission is holding PIG (Public Interactive Group) meetings on Saturdays to edit the Revised Neighborhood Plan. Next meeting should be August 12th. C. Charter Commission. Is finishing its work. The M/M N.B. Outreach Committee is working to hold a public forum on these issues in mid - October. D. Rules for Board Members running for public office. Joan Manke letter of July 26th. E. Sewer Projects. Upcoming along Kalakaua Avenue. Presentation in September on first of two projects. VII. B. *Beachwalk Wastewater Emergency By Pass. 1. Hausten Ditch. 3. Manoa Stream. Walkway rebuilding in progress (July 29th) 4. Makiki Stream. Silt removal took place week of July 24th. Next clean up Saturday, August 12th at 8:00 meet at Jack in the Box. 5. Palolo Stream. VIII. NEW BUSINESS ( * indicates for action ) (5 minutes per issue) A. *KS/BE reacquiring leases in Moiliili. Update and concerns of neighbors. B. *Participation in Discover Moiliili Day on Saturday, October 7th (9 - 2:30) C. Have Public Safety committee assisting HPD with Keiki ID???? D. Legislation Ideas. Ron Lockwood. 1. Suggestions for City & County and State for next session need to be passed by the Neighborhood Board NO later than the November '06 meeting to send to our elected officials. 2. Committees, Board Members, and audience please plan your work accordingly. All suggestions are appreciated. E. *Newsletter or Olelo? Ron Lockwood F. *Meeting banner? Serena Kyi-Yim G. *Security Watch meeting for McCully and Moiliili. Ron Lockwood / Elaine Akau. To have District 1 & 7 hold a Community / Neighborhood Security Watch meeting. H. *Add section to monthly agenda? The Housing/Homeless Committe has suggested we ADD frequently asked for numbers to our monthly agenda. See sample below after Adjournment. VOLUNTEER? IX. Housing/Homeless. Betty Lou Larson. 1. Minutes of 6/21 meeting included tonight. 2. Next meeting is August 23rd (7:00 p.m.) at Care A Van office, 1640 S. King Street. All are invited. B. Legislative Affairs. Clifton Takamura. 1. Next meeting to be determined. C. OMPO (Oahu metropolitan Planning Organization). Needs a new representative. 1. Usually meet one Friday every month at 4 PM downtown. Thank you Janet Inamine for attending the past 3+ years. VOLUNTEER? (Marijane, Deepak) D. Outreach. Ron Lockwood (pro tem). Portions of this committee's responsibilities will be divided (by the N.B. Chair) according to interest, deadlines, etc. Working with Charter Commission to hold Forum on charter ammendments in our neighborhood in mid - October. Will co - meet with Planning & Zoning. See below. E. Planning & Zoning. Ron Lockwood. 1. Report on meeting of 6/2 re: Lock Up and a public information meeting (not committee) of July 6th. Neighborhood Security Watch Meeting with Chief Correia. Meeting to be determined. G. School Liaison. Shaunna Tabor. 1. Report on VFW Post purchasing flags for neighborhood schools; opening of schools; and Beachwalk Bypass effect upon Ala Wai School with classes in session. Meeting to be determined. H. Transportation.
