REPORTS FROM HONOLULU POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS VI. U.S. ARMY 25TH INFANTRY DIVISION VII. RESIDENTS’ CONCERNS (Two-Minute Time Limit) VIII. TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE A. Committee recommends opposing a traffic light at the intersection of Haleiwa Road and Kamehameha Highway (for action by the Board). B. Committee recommends opposing traffic light at the intersection of Waialua Beach Road and Goodale Avenue (for action by the Board). C. Committee recommends that DTS study the need for a flashing light at the intersection of Waialua Beach Road and Goodale Avenue (for action by the Board). D. Committee recommends that a letter to be sent to DDC, DLNR (Coastal Management Division), DPR, and Kamehameha Schools (and whomever the Board deems important) to request their positions on the proposed road realignment at Laniakea (for action by the Board). Kaiaka Bay Watershed Participatory Assessment and Action Project – Request for Board Support for the following motion: The North Shore Neighborhood Board recommends that the City provide $75,000 to the University of Hawaii to assist with the Waialua and Haleiwa stream remediation through an Interagency Agreement. XI. NEW BUSINESS A. Analytical Planning Consultants, Inc., Don Clegg – Presentation and request for Board Support to upzone 40.59 acres in Mokuleia from P-1 to Ag-2. B. Pupukea-Paumalu Zoning Change, Trust for Public Land and the City – Request for Board Support from the C&C of Honolulu, Dept. of Design and Construction, to downzone land from Country to Ag-2 to facilitate the conservation of Pupukea-Paumalu. XII. CORRESPONDENCE AND CHAIR'S REPORT XIII. ANNOUNCEMENTS A. The next Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2006, 7:00 p.m. at the John Kalili Surf Center. XIV. ADJOURNMENT |
