B.      Chair Acohido attended the BWS information session for Neighborhood Boards on the future of water for O'ahu consumers (BWS Fred Orht Museum in Honolulu on September 30, 2006)

C.      Invitations received from military neighbors to visit NCTAMS PAC and a training facility at Schofield Barracks. (Dates and details to be announced)

XIII.      NEW BUSINESS

A.          Report on Workshop: "Building Bridges Out of Poverty" and a discussion on what is the involvement of Wahiawa Neighborhood Board

B.          Solicit Board members and community input on the use of Wahiawa Neighborhood Board Publicity Funds

 

XIV.      ANNOUNCEMENTS

A.      The next Regular Wahiawa Neighborhood Board meeting will be held on Monday, November 20, 2006, Wahiawa Recreation Center, 7:00 p.m.

B.      The next Committee of the Whole meeting will be held on Monday, November 6, 2006. Place to be announced/posted by October 31. Agenda items are: 1) Visits to NCTAMS PAC and Schofield Barracks; 2) Re-designation to Wahiawa-Whitmore Neighborhood Board; 3)Collaboration with WAI and WCBA on maintenance of Wilson Bridge, H-1 rail lights, No parking on Kamehameha Highway during peak commuter hours, and re-striping of Kamehameha Highway segment into Wahiawa; 4) Drafting of agenda for November 20 Regular Meeting.

C.      Invitations are extended to WAI and WCBA to attend the COTW meeting on November 6, 2006.

D.      A special meeting may be called regarding speeding on California Avenue and Dole Street. The City Department of Transportation Services and HPD District 2 Commander will be invited to attend.
