FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE December 21, 2005 Release No. M-113
MAYOR MUFI HANNEMANN’S CHRISTMAS MESSAGE We celebrate Christmas in many ways in For Christians, the celebration of Christmas is the reaffirmation of the ideals that Christ embodies. It is a time to show charity and express goodwill to all. But for all people, whatever our origins or beliefs, this time of the year gives us a moment to reflect on our many blessings, to continue to pledge our respect for the dignity of all people, and to offer a prayer that peace, brotherhood, and goodwill will prevail in this world—as it does among us in Hawaii. It is in that spirit that Gail and I wish you and yours a very merry Christmas. Mele Kalikimaka. -30-
