FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 8, 2005 Release E-13 CITY DEBUTS NEW CLEAN WATER MOVIE AD Moviegoers in Mililani and Kapolei are getting a new message from the City and . The ad is the latest effort in the City’s Clean Water campaign to educate the public on how to help protect The ad will run at the Mililani and Kapolei Consolidated Theatres through April. “Our main goal for the ad is to reach The ad is not the only Clean Water campaign effort aimed at young people. Public service announcements featuring Clean Water spokesperson Jordan Segundo are currently airing on TV and radio. Over the past year In addition, the City continues to reach out to the public through its website and special events to emphasize the importance of protecting The City’s Clean Water campaign is part of ongoing public education and outreach under its Federal National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit, as mandated through the Clean Water Act. The City and County of Honolulu Department of Environmental Services manages and operates the City’s wastewater and disposal system, the collection and disposal of solid waste, and the storm water program. As the lead agency for environmental management, it also develops and implements the City’s environmental policies and programs.
